About Dr. Erkens

Dr. Andreas Erkens is a Senior Strategy Consultant specializing in the areas of healthcare, medicine, pharma, medtech and life sciences. Based on more than 25 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, he supports clients in the analysis, development, refinement and implementation of brand, portfolio, and corporate strategies.

He is the founder and owner of the Dr. Erkens Consulting Group, focussing on the business areas of Strategy | Consulting, Management | Leadership, Analysis | Market Research, Marketing | Sales and Communication | Education.

Dr. Erkens is a qualified biologist with a PhD in chemistry who has held various positions in pharmaceutical and healthcare companies, such as Managing Director, Head of Business Development, and Marketing Manager. For many years he was a member of the advisory and management boards of some well-known medical societies and health organizations, and was also managing director of various institutions in the health sector.

In the field of communication and education, Dr. Erkens works as a publisher of medical journals and as a scientific editor-in-chief. He has developed various training programmes for doctors, patients, and company employees, facilitates workshops in various areas, and gives regular presentations at congresses and events.
